This year is the fifty-fifth year since the Lord miraculously changed my life forever. It was a night I will never forget.
What has happened since then is nothing short of miraculous. Thank you, Jesus!
I knew instantly that I would spend the rest of my life sharing what the Lord had done for me with as many people as possible. That pointed my life in a totally new direction, but I had no idea how or when it would happen. And I certainly didn’t know the details. Now with fifty-five years of hindsight, I’m overwhelmed at and more than grateful for the faithfulness of the Lord.
The Lord is awesome! And this isn’t unique to me. The Lord has plans for each of us that are greater than what any of us realize.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Jeremiah 29:11
The New International Version says He has plans to give us a hope and a future. Any way you translate it, God’s plans for our lives are better than anything we could come up with on our own. You may not have manifested God’s plans for your life yet, but you can. It is never too late.
Moses messed up God’s plan for his life and spent forty years in a wilderness that wasn’t of the Lord’s choosing. But that’s not the end of the story. Moses came back with a vengeance. He was used of the Lord so powerfully that we are still talking about him four thousand years later.
What are the Lord’s plans for your life? Do you have a God-given direction for your life?
If you don’t have a destination in mind, then any old road will get you there. But if you have a specific place in mind that you want to go, that dictates your choices. Living life with a purpose is essential to seeing the Lord’s will come to pass in your life.
