There is a desire inside all human beings to make a difference in the world. But how can you make a difference in the lives of others if you don’t understand who you are and how God sees you?
The good news is you are a child of God! And as a child of God, you have access to the grace of God to do many things you never thought possible. So often, people fail to turn to the truth in the Word of God because they have a wrong perception of how God sees them. They believe they have to perform to receive God’s love. But it’s not about what you can do for God—it’s about what God has already done for you through Jesus! It’s not about what you deserve; it’s about God’s grace.
According to Ephesians 2:2–5, you are no longer under sin. Ephesians 2:4–7 says that even when you were stuck under sin, God and Jesus moved toward you so you could be delivered from sin into new life.
God wants to you to experience His mercy and kindness, and Ephesians 2:8–10 shows you how you can receive it: by choosing it.
The same faith you placed in God for your salvation can also be put into receiving God’s grace. You just need to take a leap of faith and embrace it! When you do, you’ll start seeing His supernatural power working in and through you.
“The amazing grace of God is accessible to you because you chose Him, and you’ve been accepted in the beloved.”
Ephesians 1:6
That truth will transform your life and allow you to make a difference in the lives of others. Even if you’ve struggled with knowing what your purpose is, you can always make a difference by falling in love with the truth. But to make a difference in the lives of others, you need to first let the truth make a difference in you.
Every day, God wants you to rely on Him completely for everything you need.
He wants you to experience the freedom He has provided for you so you can make a difference in the lives of those who don’t know Him yet. The best thing you can do to help the lost people in your life is fall in love with Jesus, let Him love you, and view yourself as He does: as a child of God, full of grace!
