Jon Rand never imagined he would be standing on foreign soil with a sign offering “free hugs” on the street. Years before, he was at a totally different place in his life.
Jon was once the successful executive of an American broadcasting company, but now as the founder of Your Kingdom Purpose Ministries, he finally found his purpose.
Costa Rica was never on his radar, nor did he ever think he would be this impulsive, but he has never felt freer. The difference he is making is far greater than anything he has ever experienced.
But how did he get there?
After being introduced to Andrew Wommack’s teachings by his pastor, Jon began to dive into the Word. Seeking a deeper relationship with God, he enrolled in Charis Bible College. This step not only changed his life but the lives of countless others as well.
To graduate from Charis, second-year students are required to go on a mission trip. And on his mission trip to Costa Rica, Jon felt called to provide what so many Central Americans lack—food, water, shelter, and more importantly, the truth of God’s love and grace.
The training Jon and his wife, Melva, received at Charis prepared them to share the love of God with those who have limited resources—both physically and spiritually. From ministering on street corners and building churches to discipling pastors in the Word, lives in Central and South America are being changed.
With the help of Andrew’s free resources like Discipleship Evangelism, over eight hundred Central and South American pastors have been freed from religious mindsets.
There are pastors here who didn’t have any idea of the real meaning of the grace message. For them to have access and understanding of what grace truly is, it’s the difference between night and day.
Once Jon stepped out, he never looked back. He found his true purpose—discipleship.
