Is there anything too difficult for God? Absolutely NOT!
In 1972, Andrew Wommack submitted to the call of God to be a teacher of the Word. By 1980, he and his wife Jamie had moved their ministry to the Colorado Springs area. It wasn’t until the early nineties that God spoke to Andrew about starting a Bible college, and in September of 1994, Charis Bible College opened its doors. Since then, more than 8,500 students have graduated from Charis worldwide. Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College are amazing outlets for Andrew and Jaime to teach the truth of the Gospel to the body of Christ. Year after year, the ministry and college combined hold numerous conferences and events where countless lives are touched and changed forever!
But imagine being at school or at an event and parking in a remote gravel lot where you had to wait in ice-cold temperatures and blowing snow for a shuttle bus to take you to and from campus! For years, Charis students and guests had to park in gravel lots a quarter mile away and ride shuttle buses to and from the Woodland Park Campus—a challenge made even more difficult during Colorado’s dramatic winter conditions! Indoor parking was quickly becoming a true necessity. Andrew and Jaime knew this wasn’t God’s best and there was more in store for the school and ministry.
As a result, we began construction on a 1,022-space parking garage in the summer of 2018 with the intent to complete it debt-free. However, unforeseeable circumstances led us to take out a loan for over $28 million over a 120-month period—a significant financial commitment for the ministry. How in the world could this long-awaited project ever come close to being debt-free? It’s at moments like these where many people would just lose hope—forgetting the one true answer to all things unseen.
Instead, newfound faith, hope, and confidence were born! God touched the hearts of many to go above and beyond their normal giving during that time. That’s how powerful partnership is. Just in the last nine years, you, our Grace Partners, have built over 120 million dollars’ worth of facilities. That’s huge! Did we think this debt could stand in the way of what God said He would do? Absolutely NOT! God always makes a way, which is why we are overjoyed to announce that the garage debt has been paid in full in only thirty months! That is seven years and eleven months early. Praise the Lord, we are debt-free! This has spared the ministry nearly $6 million in interest payments alone, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of friends and partners like you!
Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” This doesn’t mean we have to be wealthy to make a difference; it’s not about that. It’s the heart behind our giving that enables us to fulfill our roles here on earth. God takes everything we give and uses it for His glory, and that’s what your partnership does here at Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College.
In commemoration of this momentous occasion, we held a Debt-Free Celebration on December 3, 2021. And now families, students, and people who travel across the world for upcoming conferences and events will have a safe place to park. Even during freezing temperatures, ice, rain, or snow, they can fully enjoy their experience here. And it was all made possible because of you! Thank you, partners.
